Is your advisor accountable to you or his firm?
While the banks and brokerage firms still languish in the Stone Age of hidden fees, commissions, proprietary products, and shareholder demands, I created Bucher Wealth Advisors to transcend this short term thinking. I work for YOU, not shareholders, and as such, I act as a Fiduciary on behalf of clients. This is the legal obligation to always do what is in the client’s best interest.
Unfortunately, the banks and brokerage firms aren’t held to this same fiduciary standard. According to the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors, the financial advisors at these firms are only required to give “suitable” advice, which may not be in the best interests of their clients. In addition to acting as a Fiduciary, I refuse commissions and have no products to sell.
I work on a fee-only basis so the client can feel comfortable knowing that I have no vested interest in recommending one investment over another. Our goals are aligned, your success is my success.
